We had the pleasure of hosting in Thailand in December 2023-January 2024 and in March 2025 Of course, there are soooo many good things, and then there's that one bad thing that can almost destroy you.
The amazing things that we experienced:
The hotels were stunning and the location was perfect for our group. Street food, restaurants, and bars/clubs line the avenue offering plenty of things to do with easy access to public transportation and taxis.
2. Excursions allowed us to fully explore Bangkok, Phuket, & Patong. Immerse in culture, and embrace new experiences and people.
Temples , Tuk-Tuks, & Floating Markets
Private Yacht Day
Elephant Sanctuary
The only floating beachclub on Earth
Nightlife & Street Food
Spas
3. Perfect weather - The best time to visit Thailand depends on what you want to experience. Here's a breakdown of the seasons in Thailand to help you decide:
High Season (November to March): This is the peak tourist season with the best weather overall. It's dry and sunny with mild temperatures, making it ideal for sightseeing, swimming, and diving. However, it's also the most crowded and expensive time to visit.
Shoulder Seasons (April to June and October): These shoulder months offer a good balance of weather and crowds. The temperatures are still warm, but there's a chance of occasional rain showers. Prices start to come down a bit during this time as well. April can be quite hot, but rooftop events and the Songkran Celebration in the streets of Thailand will cool you off.
Rainy Season (July to September): This is the wettest time of year in Thailand, with frequent afternoon downpours. However, the rain showers are usually brief and don't last all day. This can be a good time to visit if you're on a budget, as hotel rates and airfare are at their lowest. Just be sure to pack an umbrella or raincoat! Here are some additional factors to consider when deciding when to visit Thailand:
Specific destinations: The climate can vary somewhat depending on where you're going in Thailand. For example, the east coast (Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao) tends to have its rainy season from September to December, while the west coast (Phuket, Krabi, Phi Phi Islands) has its rainy season from May to October.
Festivals: Thailand has many festivals throughout the year, which can be a great way to experience the culture. However, festivals can also lead to higher prices and larger crowds. Having an experienced team will help you navigate with ease.
4. The People & Our PPP Crew - It was diverse with various nationalities and careers. We've all bonded in some ways along this 9-day journey through Thailand.
The Bad.....NYE was beautiful but the music was trash and the food was a buffet and wasn't warm enough, and it's super crowded. Needless to say I was hungry that night.
Reasons why you should not book this NYE event:
Getting to the doc.... check-in and boarding was at 7 pm, which means we left our hotel at 5:30 pm to account for traffic and parking.
The walk to the doc... Wear flats, bring your heels. It is a journey and lots of waiting to board the ship.
2. Music- It's NYE- we wanted to turn TF up! Instead...we were struggling to stay awake. There was a master of ceremony and DJ. The lady sang over every single song they played. Listen to what we endured ALL night!
There were "lady-boy" performances, that were not great, but they ended up being the most entertaining out of the live performances, so that's a plus. At some point we hijacked the DJ's bluetooth and created a vibe of our own. We had the entire boat up dancing and getting to know each other. I totally get there is a program, but you have to read the room. The entire boat wanted to dance!
Our fun and music stopped when the host claimed the wifi went out and we could no longer use the bluetooth so she could continue their boring program.
The highlight was the fireworks and views...the music was sending me...
Although we didn't dance the night away, like we hoped, however, I learned that I prefer a more private experience for NYE celebrations where we can control the music and vibe. We still bonded together and the trip amazing and can't wait to get back - Are you coming with us April 2026 - Only a few spots remain!
