🇹🇭 Important Info: Traveling to Thailand During Songkran

Songkran (Thai New Year) is one of the most vibrant and exciting times to visit Thailand—and also one of the busiest. Taking place every April, Songkran is a nationwide celebration filled with joy, tradition, and epic water fights that take over the streets.

Here’s what you need to know before you go:

🌀 Get Ready to Get Soaked
Water symbolizes purification and renewal during Songkran, and locals celebrate by splashing water on one another as a blessing. In cities like Bangkok and Chiang Mai, entire streets turn into water zones—so waterproof your essentials and pack quick-dry clothes! Bring your best super soakers!

🌸 Cultural Ceremonies Happen Too
While the water fights are the most famous part, Songkran also includes traditional rituals like visiting temples, giving offerings, and cleansing Buddha statues with fragrant water. You'll get the chance to immerse in both fun and sacred customs.

👜 Travel Light During the Day
When heading out for festivities, only bring what you can get wet—waterproof pouches or dry bags are highly recommended.

Songkran is not just a party—it’s a cultural celebration full of meaning, joy, and connection. You’ll have the unique chance to explore Thailand at its most festive, immerse yourself in local traditions, and embrace the unexpected. If you are down for some culture and fun....Embark on a luxury experience with us as we explore, immerse, and embrace the vibrance and beautiful sights of Thailand. We will start from Bangkok and make our way to Phuket, and you have the option to extend to Chiang Mai.
