Nairobi, the capital and largest city of Kenya, is a vibrant metropolis with a rich history and culture. Nairobi is a modern city with a mix of skyscrapers, colonial-era buildings, and bustling marketplaces. Here you can find world-class museums, art galleries, theatres, restaurants serving cuisine from all over the world, thriving nightlife, and colorful matatu vans. Nairobi National Park, located just outside the city limits, is one of the only wildlife sanctuaries in the world located within a major city. Visitors can go on a safari and see a variety of animals, including lions, zebras, giraffes, rhinos, and cheetahs. Amboseli National Park is a UNESCO World Heritage Site located in southern Kenya. It's famous for its breathtaking views of Mount Kilimanjaro, Africa's highest peak, which lies just across the border in Tanzania. Get ready to:

Day 1

SATURDAY, MAY 25
JAMBO KENYA

  • Arrive at Jomo Kenyatta International Airport (NBO) and gather your luggage. 

  • Meet up with the group and private driver that will escort you to your Nairobi accommodations

  • Freshen up and get ready for a meet & greet with dinner at the hotel.

Day 2

SUNDAY, MAY 26
EXPLORE NAIROBI 

​

  • After breakfast, head to the city center to explore the city center to learn all about the history of Kenya

  • We will stop  the famous carnivore restaurant for your lunch.

  • Then on to Kibera Slums. You will also have a chance to visit a typical Kibera-house. Feel welcome in one of the houses in Kibera and ask your questions about the day-to-day live in Kibera.

  • Dinner on your own

Day 3

MONDAY, MAY  27
NAIROBI NATIONAL PARK 
 

  • A short drive out of Nairobi’s central business district is the Nairobi National Park. Enjoy an early morning drive in search of the wildlife of Nairobi National Park. During the first hour of the day is when big cats tend to be more active.Wide open grass plains and a backdrop of the city scrapers, scattered acacia bush play host to a wide variety of wildlife including the endangered black rhino, lions, leopards, cheetahs, hyenas, buffaloes, giraffes and diverse birdlife with over 400 species recorded.

  • The rest of the day is yours: Either head back to the hotel or hit the markets for some local shopping.

Day 4

TUESDAY, MAY 28
AMBOSELI NATIONAL PARK

  • After breakfast, transport to Amboseli National Reserve in a customized seven seater safari land cruiser with specially modified suspension, full-length photographic roof hatches and seats designed with seat belts and all clients are guaranteed window seats.

  • Arriving in time for lunch, and check in

  • An afternoon game drive is planned. In addition to Elephant, Antelope, Zebra, Wildebeest, Buffalo and the elusive Leopard, nearly every vista within the Park is framed by majestic Mount Kilimanjaro in the distance. 

  • The afternoon game drive will introduce you to the intense beauty and drama that fill each day. Africa's highest mountain, Mount Kilimanjaro, can be seen during the evening if the sky is clear.

Day 5

WEDNESDAY, MAY 29
EXPLORE THE AMBOSELI

  • A full day of game drives in this park which contains swamp grounds in which elephants and hippos bathe in abundance. A variety of plains game, antelopes and birds can also be seen and Mt. Kilimanjaro’s peak too if weather conditions permit.

  • We will cater for picnic lunches

  • Later in the evening return to the lodge.

Day 6

THURSDAY, MAY 30

IMMERSE IN CULTURE

  • AM Game drive

  • Visit with the Masai village and learn their way of life . 

  • Transport back to Nairobi for the evening

  • Free time to relax or explore the city center on your own.

Day 7

FRIDAY, MAY 31 
FREE DAY

  • Free time to hit the markets or spa

  • Meet up with the group later. You will get a chance to ride on Nairobi's public transportation. We are heading to the markets to shop for ingredients for our cooking class and farewell dinner. 

  • Later in the evening return to the hotel

  • Tonight, we are in the Nairobi streets

  • Do some last minute shopping before saying  farewell

Kenya Entry Requirements:

​

  • Passport validity- If you are visiting Kenya, your passport has to be valid for 6 months from the date you arrive.

  • You should have at least two blank pages in your passport on arrival.

  • The Kenya eVisa is an electronic visa that allows visitors to travel to Kenya for tourist, transit, business, and other purposes. 

  • The eVisa is valid for travel with 3 months from the date of issue. For tourist you will need to attach:

  • Current photo, similar to passport photo.
