Chiang Mai is a city in mountainous northern Thailand. Its Old City area still retains vestiges of walls and moats from its history as a cultural and religious center. It’s also home to hundreds of elaborate Buddhist temples, including 14th-century Wat Phra Singh and 15th-century Wat Chedi Luang, adorned with carved serpents.

Bangkok, Thailand’s capital, is a large city known for ornate shrines and vibrant street life. The boat-filled Chao Phraya River feeds its network of canals, flowing past the Rattanakosin royal district, home to opulent Grand Palace and its sacred Wat Phra Kaew Temple.

Phuket nestles in balmy Andaman Sea waters on Thailand's Indian Ocean coastline 862 kilometres south of Bangkok. Phuket formerly derived its wealth from tin and rubber, and enjoyed a rich and colourful history. The island was on one of the major trading routes between India and China, and was frequently mentioned in foreign trader’s ship logs.

Arrive at Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX) by 11:00pm local time. Transport to private villa. Settle in, relax and get to know everyone. Enjoy a welcome drinks and refreshments.

December 28
This is a full day ! You will travel to see the modern architectural marvel of Wat Rong Khun (White Temple), departing for Chiang Rai Province. En route, your guide makes a brief stop at Mae Khachan Hot Spring for a break. Continuing on, you’ll visit the privately owned Wat Rong Khun, known as the White Temple. Admire its unique decor made of glass, sculptural pieces and murals all designed by a famous Thai artist. Afterward, head to Chiang Saen, a river town strewn with the ruins of ancient temples. Listen as your guide shares the history of the former Thai kingdom. Then savor lunch at a local restaurant specializing in Thai dishes or an international buffet — your choice. Next, move on to a temple overlook to view the Golden Triangle then hop aboard a long-tail boat for a ride on the Khong River. You’ll arrive at the point where Myanmar, Laos  and Thailand meet, and stop at a local Laos village (bring your passport). Visit the Hall of Opium, a private museum on the former opium trade, before a return transfer to your residence.

Good morning, Chiang Mai! Wake up to local life with a bright-and-early food tour that gives you a literal taste for this northern Thai town.

Relax under the stars as you watch Thai Khon classical dance or listen to live pop and jazz music on the 360-degree panoramic decks. Order individual plates or enjoy an elegant buffet that serves up European, Japanese, Thai and international cuisine. After dinner take in the sites and dance under the bright fireworks as we bring in 2019!

January 1
Transport to airport for flight to Phuket. Arrive and transport to private villa. Enjoy the afternoon swimming with elephants, relaxing at the spa or hanging in the Phuket night market.

January 2
The Phi Phi archipelago a must-visit while in Phuket, and this speedboat trip whisks you around four islands in one day. Snorkel over the coral reefs of Mosquito Island, have lunch and relax on Bamboo Island, and visit Monkey Bay and Maya Bay. Admire the paradise-like scenery, and swim in jade-green Pileh Lagoon, a natural lagoon framed by sheer cliffs. Lastly, cruise back to Phuket and end your trip with a drop-off at the villa.

Travelers are responsible for booking their own international flights to Chiang Mai International Airport (CNX)and from Phuket International Airport (HKT) . Please book your flight to arrive in Chiang Mai (CNX) on December 27, 2018 by 11:00pm local time. Plan to depart from Phuket (HKT) on January 3 by 4am local time.
