Join us as we tour Italy!

Italy, a European country with a long Mediterranean coastline, has left a powerful mark on Western culture and cuisine. Join us as we ride godolas

along Venetian canals, study the ancient history of Rome, Pisa, Tuscany and Florence. Activities will run from the evening of July 1 through the afternoon on July 7. Attendees should plan to arrive in Venice (VCE) on the morning or afternoon of July 1st and depart on afternoon of July 7th from Rome (FCO).

Day 1- Monday , July 1

Welcome to Italy!

Arrival: Meet at the Venice airport in the arrivals area, past baggage claim. Go to Torrefazione Cannaregio cafe on the left and wait for the group, (ground floor) view map . I will provide flight #s in FB group chat. We will transport to villa together via water taxi. Get settled and prepare for a night out dining, tasting regional delicacies accompanied by piano music and Italian wine. Learn about the recipes & dine in the elegant surroundings of your chef's private home.

Day 2- Tuesday, July 2

Sightseeing tour of Venice, Murano, Burano and Torcello Sightseeing Tour

Explore the intricacies of two famed Italian handicrafts with a day trip from Venice to the nearby islands of Murano and Burano. Watch centuries-old glassblowing techniques in Murano, and marvel at the detailed stitches of exquisite Burano lace. Your knowledgeable guide will share the history of these two artisan islands while you visit local workshops and wander the picturesque streets.​ Please be aware of the dress regulations required to enter places of worship on this tour. Knees and shoulders must be covered - no shorts or sleeveless tops are allowed.

Day 3: Wednesday, July 3

Grab breakfast at the villa or nearby. 9:30am Transport to Florence via Train. Check into villa and enjoy a free day to relax and explore the city on your own.

Day 4: Thursday, July 4

Discover Pisa and the picturesque Cinque Terre on this day trip departing from Florence. Snap a photo with the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa before heading to the coast to see the seaside villages of the Italian Riviera. There, travel through the pink- and yellow-hued towns of the Cinque Terre, a World Heritage Site. Explore the beaches, try the local cuisine (own expense) and wander the charming cobblestone streets.

Please note: 
• Due to a landslide which occurred at the end of September 2012, Via dell’Amore is closed.
• In high season ( June, July & August ) due to the popularity of the villages, the trains could be very crowed and hot, be prepared.
• This tour is not suitable for people with walking disabilties and to those sensitive to the heat
• It is recommended to wear comfortable clothes
• In Summer it is recommended to bring hat, sun cream, bottle of water and swimming suit.

Day 5: Friday, July 5

Rome Free Day

Check out and say good bye to Florence as we transport to our villa in Rome via high speed train. Enjoy a free day to relax, explore the city, and shop on your own.

Dinner is included.
